PD Components offer tooling and manufacture for your new product development or own bespoke designs.

We outsource tooling and manufacture to the UK, EU and the Far East in countries such as China and Taiwan. Tooling usually takes around thirty days to produce and samples are provided for approval before production is agreed.

If required a pilot batch can be run before full scale production goes ahead.

We offer good quality, low cost manufacturing in low to high volumes at competitive prices.Our lead times are very short and we can deliver goods to any global destination.

MANUFACTURING

Mouldings

We design and manufacture a wide range of moulded components for most industries. Whatever the application, high quality and low cost with short lead times is assured.

Injection moulding is the most popular but we also offer rotational mouldings, blow mouldings, vacuum and high pressure forming.

Castings

Castings of Ferrous and Non Ferrous Alloys by Precision Sand or Investment Casting, Gravity Die and for the best quality – High Pressure Die Casting for the higher volumes.

We can produce cast components in most metals including Steel, Stainless Steel, Magnesium, Aluminium, Brass, Zinc and Zinc Alloys.

High pressure die casting is particularly suitable for high volume parts requiring the least post processing finishing.

Extrusions

Extrusions are traditionally used for decorative or structural parts using Aluminium.
Various finishes can be applied, the most common being anodising.

Extruded sections are used in many applications, from architecture to small cases and housings. They are also used for structural cabinets and benches.

We have supplied many enclosures using a construction combining extruded and moulded components providing a high quality product.

Pressings

We manufacture small pressings and stamped parts such as terminals and springs used in consumer and industrial products to high quality standard.

Typical applications are copper/brass contacts and steel components using formed strip progression tooling

Stamping is part of the process which uses a press tool to produce the part profile. The part is usually formed from a continuous strip of material on a roll.

The second part of the stamping process is where the metal is folded in a number of stages to produce the finished item. Progression tooling can be produced which advances the manufacture of the part across a number of production stages or different machines

Machining

We can provide high accuracy quality machined parts in low to medium volumes for most applications.
Complex and intricate parts can be produced in short lead times and small volume.

For fast turn round we offer the latest technology using high speed CNC machining.

We provide high accuracy for turning, milling, high precision grinding, EDM and chemical etching

Sheet Metal

General Sheet Metal manufacture and fabrication for most applications, including steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Sheet metal components can be supplied from UK sources mainly due to the high cost of shipping bulky items from overseas.

Typical products include 19″ Rack chassis, indoor and outdoor enclosures for electronics and telecommunications equipment. Vending machine and internal components, drinks dispensers, computer chassis and general “bracket work”.

Also Stainless steel for use in the food industry.

Sub-Assembly

We can provide sub-assembly of components parts and integration and test of electronics to make the finished product.

We offer sub-assembly and final assembly for small volume through to high volume manufacture.

We offer complete assembly, test and packaging ready for point of sale and delivered direct to your distributor.

Logistics

We also specialise in importation and manage deliveries direct from our factories to any destination world wide.

Whether we manufacture in the UK, EU or Far East we can schedule production with all factories involved to provide scheduled deliveries direct to your nominated address.

We will manage the importation process and inland forwarding and advise the optimum production volume and delivery schedules to minimise expense.
